Member Surveys

  1. QUFA Adjunct Member Survey: In 2022, QUFA established the Adjunct Advocacy Committee to conduct research and write a report about adjunct terms of work and other concerns in preparation for bargaining the 2022-25 collective agreement. The Committee is again surveying adjunct faculty ahead of the 2025 negotiations so that we can make recommendations to the bargaining team on what are priority issues among the adjunct membership. The survey takes about 15-20 minutes to complete, and all responses are anonymous. Questions focus on the precarity of adjunct work at Queen’s, the various types of work adjuncts are doing (and if/how it is being recognized), and the avenues of change adjuncts would like to see QUFA pursue in this upcoming round of bargaining.   2. QUFA BIPOC Member Survey: With this survey, the QUFA BIPOC Caucus is hoping to support the QUFA bargaining team with information and suggestions for strengthening rights and protections for Black, Indigenous, and racialized QUFA members. The survey is designed in two parts. The first part will ask you about experiences with racism at Queen’s in research, teaching, and service. The second part will ask you about your bargaining priorities so we can communicate them to the bargaining team. Please only fill out this survey if you are a Black, Indigenous, or racialized QUFA member. The survey should take about 10 minutes. All answers are anonymous. If you have any questions about this survey, please direct them to caucus co-chairs Norma Möllers (norma.mollers@queensu.ca) or Ayça Tomaç (ayca.tomac@queensu.ca). Participation

  1. Bargaining: The QUFA-Queen’s Collective Agreement expires in June of 2025. If you are interested in scheduling a unit meeting with Chief Negotiator Jordan Morelli and the Bargaining Team, please contact him at: morelli@queensu.ca.
  2. QUFA New Faculty Caucus: We continue to look for a Chair for the New Faculty Caucus. Please contact PACC Chair Vanessa E. Thompson if you are interested in getting involved: vt25@queensu.ca.

Deadlines

  1. Childcare Support Plan: The deadline is February 1, 2025. Please see Appendix M of the Collective Agreement and click here for the application form.
  2. Tuition Support Plan : The winter submission window is January 1 to February 28, 2025. See Appendix N of the Collective Agreement and click here for the application form.
  3. Stay tuned for the upcoming winter term deadline for the Fund for Scholarly Research and Creative Work and Professional Development (Adjuncts).
