Dear QUFA Members,
If you have followed recent communications from QUFA and Queen’s, you know we are in the process of discussing conversion to a new pension for Queen’s employees. This new pension plan, the University Pension Plan, has been developed by unions and employers at Queen’s, Guelph and the University of Toronto. Negotiations are underway between QUFA (your union) and Queen’s about the terms of conversion. At the same time, we are bargaining a new collective agreement. We strongly encourage you to attend next week’s Fall General Meeting to discuss developments with the Chief Negotiators, Rob Hickey and Elizabeth Hanson.
For those unable to attend in person, we are live-streaming the meeting via internet. You will receive an email from Webcast Canada/Galbraith Communications on December 11 and the morning of December 12 with instructions on how to login to the webcast, should you not receive this email on December 11, please check your junk email before emailing Elizabeth Polnicky @ firstname.lastname@example.org.

As a reminder, all members covered by the Queen’s-QUFA Collective Agreement are welcome to this meeting and are encouraged to participate in discussions about the pension and a new collective agreement. Only those who have also joined QUFA by signing a membership form can vote on governance matters of the association. Find the online Membership Form here:
We look forward to seeing you on December 12 at 1:15pm at Ellis Hall Auditorium.
