New Queen’s-QUFA Collective Agreement Ratified

Dear QUFA Members,

The Ratification Vote has closed, and a majority has approved ratification. 531 members (or 55.14% of all eligible members) voted; 507 members voted to ratify, and 24 members voted against ratification. 95.48% of voting members voted to ratify the tentative collective agreement. As the Board of Trustees of Queen’s University voted to ratify this agreement on August 18th, the new collective agreement is now in effect. An electronic version of the new contract will be available as soon as QUFA Staff and Faculty Relations can incorporate the changes. We will post the “Summary of Changes” to the QUFA website as soon as possible for your reference in the meantime. Any questions about current terms and conditions should be addressed to QUFA Staff (http://qufa.ca/about/contacts-and-organization/).

We will communicate with you as ongoing discussions around the Queen’s Pension Plan unfold.

On behalf of the QUFA Executive Committee, I thank the Bargaining Team, all those who supported them and you, QUFA members, for your valuable contributions to this process.
